Fice is a free, hobby-built focus timer at ficeapp.com (the "Service"). The short version: Fice has no accounts, no cloud storage, no analytics, and no ads. Everything the app knows about you lives in your own browser and never leaves your device.

Fice keeps all of its data in your browser's localStorage. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else:
You can see everything the app stores at any time via Settings → Data → "Copy backup as text", download it as a file, move it to another device with "Import backup", or wipe it entirely with "Erase all data". Clearing your browser's site data has the same effect as erasing.
The Service sets no cookies. It loads no advertising network, no analytics SDK, and no third-party tracker. No __gads, __gpi, Google Analytics, or similar cookies are set. All fonts (Dynalight, Fraunces, DM Sans) are self-hosted from ficeapp.com — nothing is fetched from third-party CDNs, so no metadata is shared with font providers.
Since Fice collects no personal data itself, the only processing is the hosting provider's request logs, which rest on legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — keeping the site online and abuse-free.
We do not sell or share personal data — we don't hold any. The only third party involved is Google Firebase Hosting, which serves the site's static files and sees the standard request metadata (IP address, browser headers) that any web server sees. Transfers to the United States rely on the EU Commission's adequacy decision and Google's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Under GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, objection, and complaint (in Poland: to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO). Because your data lives only on your device, you can exercise most of these yourself instantly: export it from Settings → Data, or erase it with "Erase all data". For anything relating to hosting logs, email cognitra.adm@gmail.com; we respond within 30 days.
Fice is not directed to children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone, children included.
All traffic is served over HTTPS with a strict Content-Security-Policy. Your data never travels over the network, which is the strongest security guarantee we can offer — there is nothing on our side to breach.
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
